Driving past the Sunee Grand Hotel last night I noticed it was a hive of activity. After dinner I walked down to see what was going on and discovered that they were preparing for a travel show.
Tonight I went back down after work with the family and was quickly impressed with the quality of the stalls and the organisation in general.
Plenty of things to see and do inside.
The Ubon stand was extremely popular…
… but that may have had something to do with the free massages on offer!
We then moved outside to watch the entertainment on the main stage. The sound and lighting was very impressive.
These dancers were from Southern Thailand.
After the dances from down south I was starting to get a little bored until the Cock fighting dance came on. This was a classic story depicting two roosters going at it in a organised fight and all that goes with that in rural Thailand.
The show is on tomorrow and Sunday as well so if you are in the Ubon area get on down to the Sunee Grand after brunch at Peppers and check it out.
