Ubon Ratchathani has a plethora of decent mid priced hotels. For me, a decent mid priced hotel in Ubon Ratchathani is one that is clean, comfortable and has the basics. A queen size bed or larger, hot water, TV, free wifi and is priced under 700 baht ($22). Places like Phadaeng, Pan House and Pentahug spring to mind. There is now another place to add to this list, T3 house.
The location of T3 house on Soi Sapphasit 1 for my family and I is excellent. Walking distance to Tung Sri Muang, morning and afternoon markets as well as a huge variety of food, both street food and restaurants – Thai and western.
It is only a few months old so this means that the place is spotless and the beds are in excellent condition although the pillows are quite uncomfortable. Bed linen is of high quality.
They only other negative is having no kettle in your room or microwave downstairs but only so as we still need to warm up a baby bottle twice a day. *Edit* We just stayed here for a second time and downstairs was a brand new microwave. For Jacob (my son) the front desk people happily exclaimed! Now that is service!
The best thing about the room is the shower! Finally a place in Ubon that spent the money on great water pressure with on call hot water. It was by far the best shower I have had in all of Thailand outside of 5 star places in Bangkok.
Connecting rooms for 1,100 baht total ($35) are great for my family. A few different types of room are available from between 500 and 700 baht.
As we are always driving the nice big car park out the front is welcomed.
Wifi is very fast. No breakfast included (or available) but I have heard that this might change soon.
This new place is town is serious about capturing the mid priced hotel market and I think they will do very well. Well worth checking out on your next trip to Ubon.
You can book direct through Agoda or you may get a better deal contacting them direct via the dog and bone as I cannot find a website or email address for them. According to their brochure they are on facebook.

Ha! You forced me to look up “dog and bone.” I just don’t have the brain for rhyming slang.
This looks like a nice place. Our next trip is later this year [maybe Nov - Dec?],, so we’re just beginning to think about making arrangements. Thanks for the great photos.
Regards from Ken C.
No worries at all Ken, all the best for your next trip here.
