After our busy morning at the Zoo we arrived back at the hotel and put Jacob down for his afternoon sleep. Seerung and I then left the girls with my niece and we headed out for a bit of a coffee crawl.
We started out at the Doi Chang Coffee Holic on Chonpratan Road before proceeding onto the Chiang Mai coffee stop around the corner on Huay Kaew Road. This was an interesting little place with the foreign owner serving our drinks minus his shirt. After that I decided we that it must be almost beer o clock and soon we walked passed a place with the name of ‘The Pub – Chiang Mai”. I figured that there was a decent chance of a cold one in a place with that sort of name but I was sadly mistaken. I mean I am sure that I could have got one if I waited long enough for the rude owner to pull himself away from the only other customer that he had but I didn’t and decided to vote with my feet and left.
We then came across a new little shopping complex called Harbour Town which looked liked a nice place to spend our final evening at so we walked back to the hotel to wake Jacob and get the girls ready. Once back at Harbour town we enjoyed a walk around and took a few photos.
We then had something to eat at a few different places including Thai, Japanese and Italian. To finish the evening a lovely glass of Australian Red wine was consumed at a delightful little place called the Catnip Wine and Cocktail bar. It was only 99 baht ($3.50) and the Thai owner was wonderful conversation.
We then called it a night as the next morning we were leaving for Australia via Singapore and we needed as much beauty sleep as we could get.
