An afternoon in Fremantle, Western Australia

The holiday has begun and we have just spent a wonderful four days in Perth. The weather has been fantastic and I have loved going for some not so early morning runs in temperatures about half of Kununurra!

Apart from catching up with friends we also spent an afternoon in Fremantle. Here are a few photos of that day.

After parking the car we stumbled across Elvis. The girls were fascinated to see this statue come to life when a few coins were dropped in his bucket.

They didn't want to get too close though!

We watched a little of the street performers before walking through the markets.

After all that walking (not really) we treated the girls to some Cold Rock ice cream.

It was then time to burn off that ice cream down at the park at the end of the road. Marisah loved this apparatus while Ariya spent most of her time mastering the monkey bars and Jacob the slide.

We then drove a little north, under the Canning bridge to the Swan Yacht Club. Here the kids ran around and checked out the water and the jetty. We then discovered some beautiful Rainbow Lorikeets which the girls spend ages trying to photograph. The next photo (and last for this entry) was the best out of about 50.
