First week in New Zealand

Our arrival in New Zealand was met by my sister and new brother in law. Yes it was only four days previously that I had travelled to their wedding in South Australia. but they had beaten us by a day to New Zealand for their honeymoon. Before they left on that though a second wedding ceremony had been planned for their Kiwi friends and family.

The first few days were spent getting ready for the ceremony.

One job that everyone had a blast completing was collecting some flowers. All from the garden of course.

Nails had to be done and yes even the boys were involved.

Before the second big day though we still had a bit of time for some good old family catch up.

My parents property is located where two rivers converge so the opportunity to go for a kayak is always available.

A few weeks previously my sister had called me to ask if my girls might be interested in leading the Kiwi wedding service. Whilst shy at first they realised the importance of the occasion and were happy to step up.

I was really proud of the way they handled their responsibilities.

Late that afternoon Wade and Rachel heading off for their much belated honeymoon. We stayed home with her boys and between my Mum and us we had a fantastic next four days hanging out and catching up.
